These 7.875" x 8" x 3.19" heavy molded fiber PLA Lined Deep Hinged Lid Containers are made from quality renewable, 100% reclaimed bagasse (sugarcane) fibers and are ASTM D6868 compliant. All PrimeWare sugarcane products are compostable to help reduce your establishment's environmental footprint. They have 3 sections that can be used to separate food items such as main dishes, vegetables, and sauces, making them ideal for packaging takeout orders. They are FDA approved for food contact and can be used to serve both hot and cold food items. All hinged containers have a secure locking mechanism to prevent unfortunate leaks or spills and keep food items fresh and ready to serve.
These grease and cut resistant containers hold heavier foods than their paper or foam alternatives, making them ideal for any meal you can put in them. They are freezer safe and can hold temperatures up to approximately 212 degrees F. The compostable PLA (corn-based plastic) lining acts as a grease and moisture-resistant barrier, keeping your container clean and dry. Because PLA is not high-heat tolerant, it is not recommended to be used in the microwave.
The processing of the raw sugarcane includes hydrogen whitening. There is no chlorine in our products.
What is Bagasse?
Bagasse is recycled fiber created when sugarcane is squeezed and you are left with fibrous pulp material. This material used to be disposed of by burning which caused air pollution and other hazardous conditions.
